Server Maintenance
Now and then the server closes for work on the world: a backup, a border change, or pre-generating land. While it's closed, nobody can get in.
How you'll know
- In the server list, the second line reads Maintenance. Back soon.
- If you're online when it starts, you're disconnected on the spot.
- Trying to join while it lasts shows you the same notice, with the Discord link under it.
The server is under maintenance. We'll be back soon.
What happens to your stuff
Your inventory, your balance, your homes and your base are all exactly where you left them when the doors open again.
One thing to watch: the doors closing on you counts as a disconnect, so if you're combat-tagged at that moment it lands like logging out in combat. Step away from a fight once maintenance is announced.
Follow the announcements channel on Discord: the start, the reason and the reopening are all posted there. That's the only place to watch while the server is closed.
When it's most likely
The big one is the world border migration: on the day the border reaches its final size, the server closes for the map work. Get your base inside before then, see Moving Your Base.
