The Slime

A giant Slime lives on a platform at spawn (0,0). Feed it rare, hard-to-find items and it grows for the whole server. Every item you feed banks points â—† that rank you against everyone else, unlock personal rewards, and put you in the running for the end-of-cycle prizes.

How to feed it

Walk up to the Slime at spawn and right-click it. The panel shows the 7 items the Slime wants this cycle, and each one tells you what you're carrying and exactly how many points feeding all of it is worth. Click one and you donate all of it at once. The Slime takes a bite, swells, grows a little, and your points go up.

astuce

The Slime is huge, and its hitbox now grows with it, so you can right-click it from anywhere you can reach.

astuce

Feeding only takes items from your inventory, never gear you're wearing. Donated items are gone for good, so bring what you actually mean to give.

What it eats

Seven items are wanted each cycle, drawn from this pool. They're all things that take real effort or a fiddly bit of assembly, worth more the more tedious they are:

Points can't be spent. They rank you and unlock rewards, that's it. There's nothing to buy with them.

Your reward tiers

Reach a points total and claim the reward from the same panel (it lights up when it's ready):

Growing the Slime together

The Slime's size is the whole server's total for the cycle. As everyone feeds it, it gets bigger, and the growth is smooth: it swells a touch on every bite and keeps creeping up all cycle long. When it crosses a size milestone everyone online gets a free crate key, with a big celebration (a light column, fireworks, a booming sound). Three milestones per cycle, each a bigger key than the last.

A living centre

The platform is never dead. The Slime breathes and hops, rings of glowing cubes of every size trail particles as they spin around it, slime sweat beads down its body and splats on the deck, and every so often a light slime shower rains over the whole stage. It burbles and squishes away to itself, and its jumps thud across the platform, sound carrying so you can hear it from wherever you're standing. The show only runs while someone's nearby, so it never churns for an empty world.

The Slime also has moods, and they come and go at random, fairly often. Most of the time it's calm, but every so often it gets agitated: faster, higher hops, a heavy undertone you feel before you see it, more particles shedding, and a shockwave that ripples out across the deck. In an agitated mood a zombie riding a slime, spear in hand, prowls the deck too. It always settles back down on its own after a minute or so. One of the floating panels on its sides names its current mood. Every so often a calm little melody drifts over the platform.

Farming the deck

The deck is a living ecosystem, laid out in zones that stay put and always refill: mushroom groves, slime meadows, and pokey nests spread across the whole deck around the giant (nothing ever grows on the giant itself). No timers, no targets, no daily caps, just creatures to farm whenever you pass through. Wild mobs never spawn here, only these. None of it gives points â—† (only feeding does), but it drops a little money and loot, and chaining pops quickly builds a combo (a floating x3, x6, x10 the more you keep it going) with rising sound and a small loot bonus at high streaks. Every pop floats the money you gained right there.

  • Ground slimes graze the meadows (more of them when it's agitated), each with a glowing outline so you can tell they're poppable. Hit one to squish it: slimeballs and a small money drop, then a fresh one grows back.
  • Square mushrooms grow up out of the groves, big and every one a different shape and colour (tall, squat, domed, twin caps). A fresh one pushes up to full size over a few seconds. It takes several hits to break one, and it pops for money and the odd mushroom.
  • A big slime caterpillar crawls around the giant, a glowing chain of cubes with a bulge rippling down its body. Hit a segment to chop it (money and slimeballs); it shrinks with each hit and a fresh one returns later. It won't attack you. Catch the head for a rare â—† bonus.
  • Pokeys are tall wobbling cube towers that chase and attack you. Hit the stack to break it from the bottom, one block at a time, until the whole thing drops for a payout. They come back a little later.

When the giant is agitated, a zombie riding a slime, spear in hand, prowls the deck. It hops at you and hits like a slime, and you can kill it: cut down the slime under the rider for money and a few â—†. It only shows up while the mood is up, so it's a real fight, not a fixture.

attention

The deck is a combat zone. The pokeys and the mounted foe will come at you, and PvP is on. It's a place to fight as much as to farm, so come ready.

Rankings

Open the Rankings from the panel to see the top feeders (solo) and the top teams (your team's points are the sum of every member's). Switch between the two with the view button.

End of the cycle

Every 6 weeks the cycle ends. Rewards go out, then the Slime shrinks back and a fresh cycle starts:

  • Top feeders (solo podium): Amethyst / Gold / Crimson Key for 1st / 2nd / 3rd.
  • Top team: a Gold Key for every member.
  • Lucky draw: everyone who fed at least â—† 500 gets one ticket, and one winner is drawn for a Crimson Key. One ticket per player, so feeding a little still gives you a real shot.

If you're offline when you win, the Slime holds your keys and hands them over the next time you log in.

The zone

The Slime sits on a big protected andesite platform at spawn, kept plain on purpose so the giant and its show carry the scene instead of fighting decoration for your eye (it also reads right if you're running night vision). Four floating panels ring the Slime, one per side, spacing out as it grows so they're always readable: the top feeders, its current mood, its identity and cycle countdown, and this cycle's total.

The platform is fully locked: no building, no breaking, no buckets, no explosions, no fire, and you can't set a home there. Set your base somewhere out in the world. PvP is on, though: it's a gathering spot, so watch your back while you're there.

While you're on the deck you get Speed II, so crossing the wide stage feels light. It's pulled the moment you step off.

astuce

Walk into the Slime and it bounces you off like a trampoline, and there are springy pads dotted around the deck that fling you the way you're looking, so you can steer your hops and chain them across the stage.

There's no command. Just walk up to the Slime and right-click it.
